Garden & Produce Festival

On one of the last weekends of summer, we visited the Garden & Produce Festival on Parker’s Piece in the city centre. There were tents full of flowers and herbs, food, crafts, and more. Part of the fair was a contest to judge local produce – and anyone could enter as long as they brought their own harvest from their home in by a certain time. They also had a tent for cooking demonstrations and a large area set aside for a petting zoo and small carnival rides. It was a nice little fair and a fun way to spend an afternoon in Cambridge.

There was a pen full of bunnies in the petting zoo. We had Lucy with us, but she couldn’t see over the wall. Her nose was working overtime though!

In one area of the park, they had set up a massive amusement park made of K’nex pieces. There were rollercoasters, a ferris wheel, bumper cars, and more – and they all moved and lit up!
