Paris II

We spent most of our second day in Paris visiting the Louvre. The museum is just massive, and even after a good portion of the day, we still only saw a small subset of the museum. I think our favourite part wasn’t necessarily any one piece or collection, but we were most impressed with the stunning architecture of the building – although it was pretty cool to see the Mona Lisa!

We explored the Marais district in the evening for some souvenir shopping and a delicious dinner at a French cafe. We weren’t as busy this day as the day before, but we really enjoyed the Louvre and are looking forward to going back to see more someday!

We had a beautiful morning, but it became grey and rainy by the time we finished at the museum

Finally inside! The little girl in the pink sweatshirt was taking photos of every single statue. I wonder what she did with all of those photos?

There were artists like this throughout the museum replicating some of the paintings. It was very impressive!

Ah, the Mona Lisa. Cool to see, but a bit underwhelming in size. The room was packed with people all trying to take photos of this (relatively) small painting.
